The Only Platform Built Exclusively for La Zagaleta

Every villa. Every sector. Every off-market opportunity. We cover La Zagaleta and nothing else — so you get depth no general agency can offer.

Independent La Zagaleta platform

An Independent Platform for Serious Buyers

La Zagaleta does not behave like a normal property market. The best villas rarely appear on portals. Prices are not published. Transactions are completed quietly, through relationships built over years. To find the right property here, you need someone who knows the estate — not an agency that treats it as one listing among thousands.

We work exclusively within La Zagaleta. That focus gives our buyers something general agencies cannot: a complete picture of what is available, what things actually cost, and which opportunities are worth pursuing — including the ones that will never be advertised.

What is La Zagaleta?

About La Zagaleta

La Zagaleta is the most private residential estate in Europe. Set across nearly 900 hectares of protected woodland in the hills above Marbella, within the municipality of Benahavís, the estate contains around 230 completed villas — each on a generous private plot, each subject to strict density controls that will never be relaxed.

The estate was established in 1991 on what was once a royal hunting ground. What was built here over the following three decades is unlike anything else on the Costa del Sol: two private 18-hole golf courses, a clubhouse and restaurant, an equestrian centre, a racquet club, a helipad, a full concierge service, and a dedicated security team that operates 24 hours a day. None of it is accessible to the public.

Properties range from classic Andalusian villas to new-build contemporary estates, most with panoramic views across the Mediterranean toward Gibraltar and the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Marbella centre is 25 minutes by car. Puerto Banús is 20. Málaga Airport is 40 minutes via the AP-7.

There are no plans to expand the estate, no new plots of significance, and no comparable alternative on the Costa del Sol. That scarcity is what makes La Zagaleta what it is.

Private access

The Properties That Matter Are Not on Any Portal

The majority of significant transactions in La Zagaleta are handled entirely off-market. Owners here do not list their homes publicly. They do not hold open viewings. When they decide to sell, they speak quietly to a small number of trusted contacts — and the property is sold before most buyers ever know it existed.

We maintain direct relationships with owners, legal advisors and property managers throughout the estate. If you are looking for something specific — a particular sector, a sea-view plot, a villa with a flat garden, a contemporary home above a certain size — tell us what you need. The right opportunity may already exist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the average price of a villa in La Zagaleta?

Prices typically range from €4 million for an older resale villa to €30 million or more for a newly built contemporary property on a premium plot. The most sought-after sectors – particularly H and those with direct sea views toward Africa and Gibraltar – command the highest prices.

How many properties are there in La Zagaleta?

The estate currently has around 230 completed residences, with a limited number of remaining plots available for new construction. The low density is intentional and protected by the estate's own planning rules.

Can anyone buy a villa in La Zagaleta?

Yes – there are no restrictions on foreign ownership. Buyers from outside the EU can also apply for a Spanish Golden Visa when purchasing property above €500,000.

Is La Zagaleta a good investment?

Demand consistently exceeds supply. The combination of limited inventory, strict density controls and growing interest from international buyers has supported strong long-term price growth. Off-market sales mean that comparable data is often incomplete, which tends to work in favour of sellers.
